Remedy Industrial Electronics repairs industrial drives, controllers and operator panels from our workshop at Unit 2, Pocket Workshops, Washington Street, Bolton, Greater Manchester, BL3 5ER. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

When you send an enquiry or book a repair we collect the details you give us: your name, company or site name, email address, phone number, the equipment make and model, a description of the fault, and any photos you upload of the unit.

Our web host also records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, which is used to keep the site running and secure.

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, carry out the repair, arrange collection and delivery, and keep a record of the work and its 12-month warranty.

We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, on the contract we have with you when you order a repair, and on our legal obligations to keep accounting and tax records.

We do not use your details for automated decision-making, and we do not add you to a marketing list.

Photos you upload are used only to assess the fault and record the condition of the unit. They are stored privately and are not published on this website.

We share only what is necessary: with couriers to collect and return your equipment, with component suppliers where a part has to be ordered for your repair, and with the providers who host and maintain this website and our email.

We never sell your personal information.

Enquiries that do not lead to a repair are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation again if you come back to us.

Records of completed repairs, including quotes and invoices, are kept for seven years to support the warranty and to meet accounting requirements.

This site uses only the cookies needed to keep it working securely. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email info@remedyelectronics.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
