Common faults we repair

Parker AC drives and the SSD 590+ DC range report differently: numbered trips on the AC10 and AC30, named alarms on the 590+. Both sets are covered here.

  • AC30 trip 3 – OVER CURRENT (power stack, motor cable, fixed boost)
  • AC30 trip 1 – OVER VOLTAGE; trip 2 – UNDER VOLTAGE
  • AC30 trip 4 / 5 – STACK FAULT and STACK OVER CURRENT
  • AC30 trip 7 – MOTOR STALL; trip 8 – INVERSE TIME overload
  • 590+ FIELD FAIL – field current lost (field bridge or supply)
  • 590+ FIELD OVER I – field overcurrent
  • 590+ MISSING PULSE – thyristor firing pulse failure
  • 590+ HEATSINK TRIP – stack over temperature
  • 590+ OVER VOLTS – armature overvoltage
  • 590+ THERMISTOR – motor or heatsink thermistor trip

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a failed Parker drive, servo drive or automation component can be expensive, particularly when the original model is obsolete or difficult to source. Repairing the existing equipment can be a faster, more cost-effective solution while avoiding unnecessary replacement, reprogramming and commissioning.

  • Repair is also the only option for obsolete and discontinued units, where a like-for-like replacement no longer exists. Where a repair is not economic, we say so and can supply a tested refurbished unit instead.
  • Component-level diagnostics and repair, never board swapping
  • Every repair covered by a 12-month warranty
  • Free fault assessment and a quote within 24 hours of arrival
  • In-house soak and load testing before your unit goes back
  • All major brands and models, including obsolete and discontinued units
  • 24/7 emergency call-outs for production-critical breakdowns
