Common faults we repair

Omron 3G3 and Sysdrive inverters show short codes such as OC, OV and OL1. We repair the control and power boards across the 3G3MV, 3G3RX and MX2 ranges.

  • OC – overcurrent (output short, motor cable, power stage)
  • OV – overvoltage (deceleration, braking resistor)
  • UV1 – main circuit undervoltage (supply, rectifier)
  • OH – heatsink overheat (fan, airflow)
  • OL1 – motor overload; OL2 – inverter overload
  • GF – ground fault on the output
  • SC – load short circuit on the output
  • CJ1 / CJ2 / CS1 and NX / NJ controller faults – CPU, I/O bus and battery errors

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a failed Omron drive, PLC, HMI or automation component can be expensive, particularly when the original equipment is obsolete or difficult to source. Repairing the existing equipment can be a faster, more cost-effective solution while avoiding unnecessary replacement, reprogramming and commissioning.

  • Repair is also the only option for obsolete and discontinued units, where a like-for-like replacement no longer exists. Where a repair is not economic, we say so and can supply a tested refurbished unit instead.
