Common faults we repair
Baumüller b maXX and BUS/BUM servo drives show a four-character error code after the F prefix. Encoder, mains-measurement and power-stage errors are the ones that reach our bench most.
- Error 2021 – current/voltage offset outside the plausible range (measurement circuit)
- Error 1754 – unknown encoder error (feedback type not recognised)
- Encoder and resolver faults – cable breaks, commutation errors, feedback supply
- Power-stage (IGBT) failures on BUM and BUS servo drives
- Mains rectifier and DC bus faults – blown fuses, failed bridge, bus capacitors
- I²t overload trips from a jammed axis or incorrect motor data
- Internal 24 V logic supply and control board failures
- Overtemperature trips (fan, heatsink and internal sensor circuits)
