Common faults we repair

Sinamics and Masterdrives units report faults in the Fxxx or Fxxxxx format. Overcurrent, DC link and encoder faults make up most of the Siemens boards we repair.

  • F30001 – power unit overcurrent (IGBT, motor cable, ground fault)
  • F30002 – DC link overvoltage (deceleration, braking resistor)
  • F30003 – DC link undervoltage (supply loss, precharge)
  • F30015 – phase failure in the motor cable
  • F30021 – ground fault detected in the power unit
  • F0001 / F0002 / F0003 – overcurrent, overvoltage and undervoltage on G120
  • F0011 – motor overload (I²t model)
  • F0022 – power unit fault (gate driver, IGBT, heatsink sensor)
  • F7011 – motor overtemperature (PTC / KTY sensor)
  • F7902 – motor stall or loss of load detection

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a failed Siemens drive can be expensive, particularly when the original model is obsolete or difficult to source. Repairing the existing drive can be a faster, more cost-effective solution while avoiding unnecessary replacement, reprogramming and commissioning.

  • Repair is also the only option for obsolete and discontinued units, where a like-for-like replacement no longer exists. Where a repair is not economic, we say so and can supply a tested refurbished unit instead.
