Service Exchange and Asset Acquisition: Get Value From Old Automation Equipment
20 October 2026 · 2 min read
Service exchange gives you a discount on a replacement unit when you send us your faulty one. Asset acquisition means we buy surplus, obsolete or unwanted industrial automation equipment from UK businesses, with a free valuation. Both keep equipment in use and cut waste.
What is service exchange?
If you are buying a replacement unit, you can send in the faulty item. We inspect it to see whether it can be repaired or reused, then give you a discount on the replacement order. It is built around reducing e-waste and keeping equipment in use for longer.
Replacement units are fully refurbished, tested and covered by a 12-month warranty.
When service exchange suits you
- You need a replacement and have the faulty unit to hand
- You want to cut the cost of the replacement
- You would rather not scrap equipment that may have value
What is asset acquisition?
We buy surplus, obsolete and unwanted industrial automation equipment from businesses across the UK, including recently decommissioned machines and redundant stock. You get a fair valuation, and the valuation is free.
When asset acquisition suits you
- Spare stock has been sitting on the shelf
- A machine has been decommissioned
- A line has been upgraded and the old equipment is redundant
What if parts are no longer available?
We also offer a product upgrade service. We review your electrical drawings and set out an upgrade path using modern components, for machines where spare parts are no longer available.
What is the difference between the two?
Service exchange is for when you are buying a replacement. Asset acquisition is for when you want to sell equipment you no longer need.
Is the valuation free?
Yes, and it applies to businesses across the UK.
